By Mail
Print and complete a Voter Registration form, then mail it to the Montgomery County Board of Elections located at 451 W. 3rd St. in Dayton.

In-Person
Visit the Montgomery County Board of Elections located at 451 W. 3rd St. in Dayton and complete your registration in-person.
Request an absentee ballot to vote by mail

Step 1. Complete the absentee ballot request form and mail it to the Montgomery County Board of Elections located at 451 W. 3rd St. in Dayton.
You may also request a form from the Board of Elections by phone (937-225-5656) and they will mail one to you.

Step 2. Wait to receive your ballot in the mail from the county board of elections.
If you have questions about the status of your absentee ballot request, please call the Board of Elections at (937) 225-5656. You can track the status of your ballot request as well as your voted absentee ballot through the Voter Toolkit.

Return
Step 3. Return your completed ballot by dropping it off yourself directly at the designated ballot drop box at the Montgomery County Board of Elections (the recommended manner for submission), or send it by U.S. Postal Service. If you choose to mail your ballot it must be postmarked no later than November 1st to be counted.
How to vote early in-person
Once you’re registered to vote you can vote early at the Montgomery County Board of elections on the following dates:
Begins: Tuesday, October 7th
Ends: Sunday, November 2nd
